Qualified Charitable Distributions

Turn Retirement Giving Into a Legacy of Freedom

If you’re 70½ or older, a QCD lets you give directly from your IRA—supporting Pride’s mission while reducing your taxable income.

If you’re age 70½ or older, you can make a powerful impact today through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA. This tax-wise gift option allows you to reduce your taxable income while helping sustain Pride of Baltimore II as a living symbol of freedom, heritage, and American ingenuity.

What is a QCD?

A Qualified Charitable Distribution (also called an IRA charitable rollover) lets you donate directly from your IRA—up to $100,000 per year—without increasing your taxable income. Your gift may also satisfy all or part of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD).

How it works:

  1. Contact your IRA administrator to request a gift from your IRA to Pride of Baltimore, Inc. (Tax ID: 52-1189136). Allow time to process before year-end.

  2. Direct transfer required: IRA funds must be sent directly to Pride to qualify as a QCD. If your institution needs transfer instructions, contact us for details. Checks may also be mailed directly to:
    Pride of Baltimore, Inc.
    841 East Fort Avenue, #352
    Baltimore, MD 21230
(Checks should be payable to Pride of Baltimore, Inc., not the IRA owner.)

  3. Notify us of your gift: Sometimes QCDs arrive without donor information, so please let us know when you initiate a transfer. This ensures we can properly thank you and provide any needed documentation.

Name Pride as a Retirement Beneficiary

Another meaningful option: designate Pride as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), 403(b), or other retirement plan. This lasting legacy shares your values with future generations while supporting Pride’s mission for years to come.
