Pride of Baltimore II Sets Sail
Carrying Maryland’s Legacy to the Great Lakes—Summer 2025
On May 30, 2025, Maryland’s iconic tall ship and official sailing ambassador, Pride of Baltimore II, will embark on a multi-month voyage across all five Great Lakes and participate in Tall Ships America’s Tall Ships Challenge®. The public is invited to a special dockside event to send her off in true Maryland style.
Join us on the Baltimore waterfront for ceremony and community pride as we bid farewell and fair winds to Pride of Baltimore II. The program will feature remarks from local and state leaders, followed by a dockside send-off as the ship sets sail—rain or shine!
This summer, Pride of Baltimore II will carry Maryland’s legacy to audiences throughout the Great Lakes, sharing our rich maritime heritage, vibrant history, and the spirit of tourism, commerce, and Maryland-grown products. Her voyage continues the tradition of representing the best of our state to communities near and far.
Let’s gather to wish her “fair winds and following seas”—and show the world what Maryland pride truly looks like.
