Working Together to Carry Baltimore's Story to the World

As Maryland’s sailing ambassador, Pride of Baltimore II works with businesses, foundations, government agencies, cultural institutions, schools, maritime organizations, and community groups to share Baltimore and Maryland’s maritime story with people at home and around the world.

These relationships take many forms. Some partners provide financial or in-kind support. Others collaborate with us on educational programs, public events, community engagement, historic interpretation, or port visits. Together, they help make it possible for Pride to sail, teach, welcome visitors, and represent Baltimore and Maryland wherever she goes.

Ways Organizations Partner with Pride

Corporate Sponsorships

Corporate partners support Pride’s mission through sponsorship of programs, events, sailing experiences, and other initiatives. Businesses also support our work through donated goods, professional services, technical expertise, hospitality, transportation, and other resources that help keep Pride sailing and our programs accessible to the public.

Sailabration Sponsors

Reinvented as a public festival in 2024, Sailabration: Sailing Traditions in Ink celebrates the art, history, and traditions of maritime tattooing through live tattooing, maritime history, art, music, and activities on the Baltimore waterfront.

The festival brings together artists, historians, maritime organizations, businesses, and the public for a distinctive celebration of maritime culture and Baltimore’s connection to the sea.

We are grateful to the businesses and organizations whose support is helping to grow Sailabration into an annual waterfront tradition.

Government Support

Public investment helps sustain Pride of Baltimore II as a living maritime resource and Maryland’s sailing ambassador, supporting preservation, public access, community programming, and opportunities to share Baltimore and Maryland’s maritime heritage with audiences at home and around the world.

Foundation Support

Foundation partners play an important role in sustaining and strengthening Pride’s work, providing support for education, preservation, community engagement, special projects, and new initiatives.

We are deeply grateful to the foundations that have invested in Pride of Baltimore II and our mission over the years. Their generosity has helped us care for the ship, develop new programs, reach new audiences, and ensure that Pride continues to serve Baltimore and Maryland for generations to come.

Educational & Community Partnerships

Pride collaborates with schools, museums, historic sites, cultural organizations, nonprofits, and community groups to create meaningful experiences aboard the ship and ashore.

These partnerships allow us to connect maritime history with broader stories of Baltimore, Maryland, the Chesapeake Bay, and the people whose lives have shaped them.

Maritime, Tourism & Destination Partnerships

Wherever Pride sails, she creates connections between Baltimore and the communities she visits. We work with ports, maritime organizations, festivals, tourism organizations, and other partners to welcome visitors, participate in major public events, and introduce audiences to Baltimore and Maryland.

Our Partners

For nearly five decades, the Pride of Baltimore organization has worked alongside public agencies, businesses, foundations, museums, schools, maritime organizations, historic sites, and community groups in Maryland and around the world.

We are grateful to the many organizations that have invested in Pride, welcomed the ship to their communities, collaborated on programs, and helped carry Baltimore’s story to new audiences.

We are deeply grateful to the many organizations whose partnership and support have made our work possible.
