The wind is calm. Forecast to fill in from S-SW this day.
PRIDE spent Saturday afternoon and overnight at anchor at Provincetown. Got underway this morning after breakfast. Yesterday’s weather forecasting indicated a period of sustained calm conditions for the areas east of Massachusetts, as well much of the southwestern Gulf of Maine, to be followed by a new wind pattern from S-SW starting Sunday.
So, after clearing through the Cape Cod Canal yesterday morning, with weakening northeast winds, motored on across Cape Cod Bay to anchor at Provincetown. Anchored down about 3 p.m. Lovely weather with a wondrous interruption from steady motoring accompanied by significant rolling.
This morning, after rest and relaxation, underway again. This time committing to crossing the Gulf of Maine.
